hey guys...like the post says...i will be picking up a 2006 tucson this weekend.
its a 2006 black FWD w/120k
price of 11,400 (taxes, admin, licensing included) seemed reasonable compared to prices at hyundai dealerships and also compared to most other smaller dealership i visited.
engine seemed smooth, tranny shifted very nicely...no rough spots/jerks etc...
i did hear a tiny squeal coming from the engine bay...dealer said it was just had engine shampoo wash... but he did agree to do a waterpump and timing belt change and put in on the bill of sale (still 11.400)
As I understand, these tucson (learned recently that its pronounced toosan lol haha) well I understand these suv's need WP and TB every 90k but I doubt the prev. owner changed it since most threads I've read indicate that it can be pushed to 120k.
but to the issue at hand...airbag light was on...checked as thoroughly as I can...can't see any misalignment of fenders, doors or hood or rear hatch...anyways...dealer said its apparently a common problem for hyundai tucson and he will have it fixed before I picked it up...from threads i've read...seems like its a faulty sensor and there is even a recall for it if the driver is "a small stature female"
Just wanted to confirm that I have all my info correct and not mixed up anywhere...any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks,
Myron
