Hi birin welcome to the forums- take it you have one of the new ix35's can we have some photo's please?

Now Hyundai themselves are apparently going to be selling some accessories but they will be a bit on the expensive side and as with all brand new to the market vehicles you have to wait for a short while whilst the aftermarket starts to produce the bits you want-you may find that some things from the current Tucson will be able to be fitted and some others may be adjusted to fit.
Bike racks that fit on the towball are available fairly easily and will fit your vehicle as you have the hitch added already.

Cheers and don't forget the photos pal.

Hi Birin,

Cheers!!

I heard the hitches aren't available for a few more months. I had one installed when I pick up the 2010 Limited, and now my Tucson makes a wonderfull rattle - it seems the exhaust/muffler is hitting the hitch. I think the hitches they are installing are from previous years' Tucsons.

Birin - can you confirm the part # on your hitch?

Thanks

No idea when the hitch will be available or ehat the part number is. My hitch was part of the new vehicle deal and so I did not get a part number. My dealer has for a month now been unable to confirm a ship or install date for the hitch. Getting a little concerned this is going to take much longer than I thought

Pop your head under the vehicle as it is reasonably easy to readjust the exhaust clamps and thus stop the exhaust hitting the tow bar. Just loosen the bolts and get someone to hold it where you want it to be then retighten and all should then be aok.

New owner of a 2010 Tucson Limited AWD

I found this site selling 2010 Tucson accessories.

http://www.hyundaiaccessorystore.com/Hyundai_tucson_accessories.html

I asked about rubberized floor mats and was told they have a part number but that they were still being "developed"

Got the full trailer hitch and wiring installed this past week. Dealership did a pretty lame job of the wiring considering the mufflers transverse mounting directly behind the rear bumper. The wiring shroud was melted by the time I got home 15 minutes later. Had to fix it myself - which was not difficult.

I see there are some running board suppliers popping up - but not sure they are the style that will complement the new Tucson style - actually not sure running boards are a good idea at all.

After 1500 km - I am still very happy. Biggest surprise - the small turning radius - the biggest disappointment is its a bit noisier than my previous vehicle.

The seats are comfortable and all the options are outstanding. Its amazingly peppy and responsive. All in all - for the for money - I think its an outstanding full featured small SUV - that gets people coming up to me in parking lots asking what its like to own one. So far so good.

birin, Did you have a v6 before or the 4 cyl. I have a v6 and wondered about the power difference.

Never had a Tucson before. Last car was a Cooper S.
I have had 3,4,6 and 8 cylinder cars before and worried abiut having a 4 cycl.
I think engineering today has moved the 4 cyl far beyond what we used to think of 4 cycl as - if this new Tucson is any example. Paired with the 6 speed - it does my city, highway and towing all just fine.

Birin.... What did you find a bit noisier about the new Tucson?? The motor noise, outside noise (traffic) road noise (tires) or wind noise?? I'm just wondering because I test drove one last week and found the motor to be a bit noisy on full throttle accelleration.

A little of both - road and engine noise. Not loud - and not enough to detract from the ride experience - but enough to notice

Its really what your used to- with the tucson they have always been that bit noisier due to being built like a brick and not cutting through the air.
